Scarsdale Diet Breakfast
Scarsdale Diet And Safety Concerns
Breakfast is, perhaps, the most unexciting aspect of the
Scarsdale Diet, compelling you to eat exactly the same fare day in and day out.
As such, you may want to make sure you can manage consuming a single type of
meal as your first nourishment of the day for the duration of your time under
the program.
If you aren't familiar with the breakfast routine on the Scarsdale Diet, it's
always:
* one half of a grapefruit
* a slice of protein bread
* coffee or tea (no milk and no sugar but you can drink as much as you want)
Since the Scarsdale Diet is intended to be easy to follow, provisions are very
specific with little room to innovate without potentially affecting the rest of
the program. With strict calorie requirements and a very specific nutrient
ratio, it's always best to just tough it out the remainder of the two weeks than
to try being creative and put the diet's effectiveness at risk.
Light morning eaters who do the Scarsdale Diet are allowed to skip a part of the
breakfast (like eating only the grapefruit or the bread). They can then add the
untouched food to later meals, where the same food type is allowed. For
instance, you can forego the protein bread for your morning meal but add it to
your lunch (which also includes it in the plan) and have two bread servings
instead of just one. You can even make a sandwich of it, if you're so inclined.
It's a good way to add some variation to your diet, without causing any
detrimental effect on your results.
